As brides, we carry so much on our shoulders. We plan, we organize, we dream. And somewhere in the midst of it all, we find ourselves refreshing the weather app ten times a day, hoping for clear skies. I get it—it's your big day, and you want everything to be perfect.

But what if we let go of the pressure, just a little?

What if we allowed space for the unexpected—like a rain shower or even a wild little hailstorm—and chose to lean into the magic of the moment anyway?

Recently, I had the chance to photograph an elopement where hail literally sang down from the sky.

It was chaotic and beautiful all at once.

The couple didn’t flinch—they laughed, held each other tighter, and let the moment unfold.

And the photos? They were stunning.

The kind of images that tell a real story: of adventure, connection, and presence.

Rain, hail or shine—your wedding day will still be beautiful. The weather doesn’t get to steal the joy unless we let it. It simply becomes part of the story, and often, it adds a touch of unexpected wonder.
